In June 2021 the Downtown Somerville Alliance, in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s Babs Siperstein PROUD Center, asked me to design a large art installation that celebrated Pride month by showcasing trailblazers of the LGBTQ+ movement. The result were four 75 ft. murals that told compelling stories about people from the LGBTQ+ community who’ve made great contributions to our lives—in the arts, sciences, education and more. They remained on display for three months at the corner of Division Street and Main Street in Somerville, New Jersey.
