As Social/Digital Art Director for Marriott International’s Content & Creative Department, I had the opportunity to craft and maintain the visual voice and asset production for various Marriott International brands, including Residence Inn, the world’s largest all-suite hotel.

Core Contributions:  Photography and design for micro-campaigns, art direction for social and digital campaign applications, animation, video editing, evergreen content, and live event coverage.
Residence Inn had the proud distinction of being the first brand to publicly launch Marriott International’s partnership with HBO Go. The campaign launch coincided with the Game of Thrones series finale premiere at Radio City Music Hall.

To leverage the two events while establishing clear brand affiliation between the partners, the Residence Inn social/digital team surprised a lucky Residence Inn guest (and Game of Thrones super-fan) with the chance to attend the premiere.

I worked with writer Topher Cusumano and videographer Keith Pyatt to film our guest’s once in a lifetime experience and edit it into engaging social/digital content. I art directed, storyboarded, and designed title cards for the final video which launched on Residence Inn channels. The resulting video yielded 3x the average views and shares compared to other content on Residence Inn channels at the time.
To highlight Residence Inn’s global growth, the social/digital team created the RI City Swap series. For three months, influencers from around the world asked their followers to help them build local itineraries for a visiting guest. Two influencers would then swap cities for a week, providing each other with their fan-generated itineraries to explore.

I had the opportunity to co-lead influencer selection based on their photography style, the creation of campaign visual guidelines, and hands-on video animations of captured assets to highlight each experience on Residence Inn social channels.
For Leap Day 2020 we created a randomized Instagram Filter using the Facebook Spark AR program. I designed and created the filter to capitalize on the growing trend of custom filters across Facebook and Instagram and tie Residence Inn’s “found time” proof point to a timely event.
